FisHErMaN?? ... no way jose

Overall March has been a pretty fun month, the only downer was our friend Tanya had to have surgery on her back for herniated disc and it's not quite fixed exactly like we all hoped for. Getting better by the day, she has her ups and downs but is hopeful and trying to stay strong and think positive. This month Darin and I got to experience our first Polo match, our friends Nick and Sarah gave us season passes to it.....pretty neat to watch the ponies, but more fun participating in the social aspect going on into the night. We were REALLY looking forward to Darin's friend Neil (Noodle) and his girlfriend Andrea's visit for a whole week, they have soon come and soon went but we had a blast and really got to do a lot with them. We found a little cliff to jump off of, went on an island tour, they tried new foods like shark bites, marlin fish sandwich and my fav...doubles. We also went to Harrison's cave, ate an awesome dinner at Tapas, had a movie night, went deep sea fishing (my first time ever), had a sushi night at a friends house and rented boards and all went surfing, it was Andrea's first time!!The week started slow but we had our days filled with fun stuff and now when I look back it actually went super fast! We had the pleasure of Chad coming over from Cayman this week also and it's been nice to catch up with him since we haven't seen him in a while. He also brought a friend Anthony with him who's a pretty cool guy and we all did everything together like one big family all week :)

Fisherman?? Well because of the first experience of deep sea fishing and my love of tuna and wanting to catch one my self, I thought it would be a fun idea to go with Noodle and Andrea on a fishing charter they'd wanted to do for the day. Take note Darin, Chad and his friend Anthony were also along for the ride. I was quite nervous about myself and I learned quickly God did not make me a fisherman/woman...that was never in my plans he made for me. My first time out at sea fishing for the big ones was a rough morning followed by an 8 hr boat ride praying I wouldn't get sea sick like the first guy. Since i'd never been before and there's a "ladies first" rule, the first fish that got hooked, I had the pleasure of reeling in......drum roll......a whole 12 pounder dolphin (mahi mahi, dad). Out of that 8 hours, I had a fantastic time for about 4 mins, but like they say, it's called "fishing" not "catching". So, needless to say, I was never sea sick (PHEW!), I was the only one to reel a fish in that day and I was the most bored i've ever been in my entire life lol. I always tell Darin I try things twice so maybe next time i'll actually do more "catching" and the trip will live up to my expectations.
